Моя бабушка пошла в школу в 1946 году. Школа находилась близко от дома, поэтому бабушка ходила пешком. Но некоторым ребятам с дальних районов поселка приходилось проходить очень большое расстояние.

Здание школы было большим. Младшие дети ходили в другую школу по-соседству. Школа была одноэтажная и деревянная. Классных руководителей было три: Варвара Васильевна Весневская, Антонина Васильевна Шихова и Мальчикова Софья Васильевна. Все учителя были строгими на уроках, но они всегда помогали своим ученикам.

Дисциплина не была строгой,потому что дети были другими. Они приходили в школу учиться, а не веселиться. Однако если ты вел плохо себя на уроках, тебя вызывали к директору и даже могли исключить. Но это была редкость. Школьная форма не была обязательной, а обучение было бесплатным.

Вокруг школы был небольшой парк и футбольное поле. Ребята изучали те же предметы, что изучают и в современных школах. Не было информатики и экономики.
