Согне-фьорд – самый протяженный и глубокий фьорд Норвегии. Один из его рукавов – Нэрёй-фьорд – включен в Список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО. Окружающие фьорд горы поражают своим величием.

Согне-фьорд протянулся от самого побережья, чуть севернее Бергена, до могучих гор национального парка Йотунхеймен и голубых льдов заповедника Йостедалсбреен.

Максимальная глубина Согне-фьорда составляет 1 300 метров, а окружающие горы достигают 1 700 метров в высоту. Ширина Нэрёй-фьорда – самого знаменитого и узкого рукава Согне-фьорда – всего 250 метров. В 2005 году Нэрёй-фьорд был внесен в Список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО, а Национальное географическое общество (National Geographic Society) присудило Нэрёй-фьорду и Гейрангер-фьорду первое место среди объектов мирового природного наследия.Благодаря талым водам с ледников вода в них имеет особый изумрудный цвет.

Регион богат кулинарными традициями. Благодаря благоприятному климату, свежему воздуху и множеству горных пастбищ здесь производятся качественные и свежие продукты.

Согне-фьорд славится своими фруктами, ягодами, бараниной, дичью, горной форелью и козьим сыром.

В горах, окружающих внутреннюю часть Согне-фьорда, проложено множество маршрутов для хайкинга. Самые популярные районы – национальные парки Йотунхеймен и Йостедалсбреен, Брехеймен, долины Аурландсдален и Утдален. В регионе можно заняться рафтингом, каноингом, альпинизмом, скалолазанием, а также покататься на горном велосипеде и лыжах – летом!
