Kunanbayev Abay (Ibrahim Kunanbayev) (1845 - 1904) - Kazakh writer, poet, composer, public figure.
Born Ibrahim July 29, 1845 in Kazakhstan in feudal aristocratic family. Nickname Abai's biography Kunanbayev was received as a child from his mother.
He received a good education - he studied at semipalatenskom madrassas, as well as in the Russian school. Kunanbayev with youth, interested in literature (Russian, European), as well as the works of Oriental scholars.
