Фронт отодвинулся от Конакова. 12 декабря южная часть Завидовского района была освобождена. 15-го советские войска вступили в Козлово. Жителей посёлка немцы погнали в Германию, но наши бойцы освободили их у деревни Непеино.
Тысячи конаковцев и завидовцев сражались на фронтах, проявляя героизм и отвагу. Многие местные жители участвовали в партизанском движении. Группа сопротивления действовала и в посёлке Изоплит. Она повреждала линии связи, предотвратила сожжение фабрики немцами.
