D.O.C.A. (Days of Contemporary Art) — Дни современного искусства в ИГУМО. Каждый год в середине апреля вуз в спальном районе на два дня становится центром современного искусства. Выставки, инсталляции, спектакли, лекции, воркшопы, дискуссии, концерты превращают пятиэтажное здание института в мультидисциплинарное пространство, открытое и для искушенной публики, и для тех, кто только пытается разобраться в том, что такое современное искусство. Современное искусство сейчас, по словам философа Бориса Гройса, превратилось в информацию. Другими словами, именно язык современного искусства, в отличие от языка литературы или СМИ, — лучший способ понять и осмыслить, как устроен мир вокруг и чем живут люди. Цель D.O.C.A.— дать возможность профессиональным и начинающим художникам, фотографам, дизайнерам высказаться о том, что их волнует, средствами современного искусства. Более того, D.O.C.A. создает безопасную и доступную среду для знакомства с современным искусством — организаторы берут на себя ответственность объяснить посетителям контекст, в котором существуют и работы, и художники. Каждый год мы исследуем различные темы — пропуская сквозь личность, внутренние фильтры, время и пространство творческую энергию.
