Holi Festival in India is full of all sorts of colors, laughter and cheerful voices sound from everywhere. People sincerely rejoice at the arrival of spring, as it always remains the embodiment of a new life, hopes, the birth of something beautiful. Therefore, for a reason the festivities begin in late February - early March. There is a festival on the day of the full moon, which in India is called Phalgun Purnima. Because of this, it turns out that every year Holi is held on different days. For example, in 2017 the festival was celebrated on March 13-14, and in 2018 - March 2-3.<br><br>Holi is an old holiday, which is mentioned in ancient Sanskrit texts. Even the respected and revered Vedas contain detailed descriptions of this celebration. It is no less surprising that Holi was found to have a record that dates back to at least 300 BC.<br><br>And now we will tell the story of Holi's appearance and why the obligatory part of the celebration is burning effigies, sprinkled with colorful colors and dousing with water.
