Министры образования Бразилии, России, Индии, Китая и ЮАР учредили Сетевой университет БРИКС
Россия и Ирландия подписали меморандум о взаимопонимании и сотрудничестве в области высшего образования
18 ноября 2015 г. в Москве в рамках председательства России в БРИКС министры образования Бразилии, России, Индии, Китая и ЮАР подписали Московскую декларацию о сотрудничестве и «Меморандум взаимопонимания» (Memorandum of Understanding for Establishment of the BRICS Network University) – основной учредительный документ Сетевого университета БРИКС.
В торжественном мероприятии приняли участие заместитель министра образования и науки Российской Федерации Вениамин Каганов и Посол Ирландии в России Эдриан МакДейд.
В ходе заседания комитета ирландская сторона сообщила, что уже на завершающей стадии находится создание центра русского языка и культуры при Тринити-Колледже в Дублине. Участники мероприятия отметили, что Россия и Ирландии намерены активно развивать двустороннее сотрудничество.
27 ноября 2015года в Москве заместитель министра образования и науки Российской Федерации Александр Климов и министр образования и науки Республики Абхазия Адгур Какоба подписали Планы мероприятий по реализации задач в сфере образования.

Мероприятия планов направлены на оказание содействия в разработке образовательных программ, подготовку и повышение квалификации педагогических работников организаций, осуществляющих образовательную деятельность в Республике Абхазия, и разработку нормативных правовых актов республики в сфере образования, корреспондирующих с законодательством Российской Федерации об образовании.

Послы русского языка отправляются в страны СНГ
Так в рамках программы развития деятельности студенческих объединений (ПРДСО) при Минобрнауки РФ появился проект «Послы русского языка в мире».

Более 1000 студентов из 140 вузов из 70 регионов и 11 зарубежных стран подали заявки на участие в волонтерской программе, в итоге 74 стали послами русского языка. Сегодня 40 российских вузов направили для участия в волонтерской программе своих студентов.
В МИА «Россия сегодня» прошла пресс-конференция, посвященная экспедициям волонтерской программы «Послы русского языка в мире». С 29 ноября по 6 декабря 2015 г. 74 посла русского языка отправятся в три образовательно-просветительские экспедиции в Киргизию, Молдову и Таджикистан.
24 ноября 2015 г. в Москве на объединенном заседании коллегий Министерства образования и науки Российской Федерации, Министерства образования Республики Беларусь и Государственного комитета по науке и технологиям Республики Беларусь руководители образовательных ведомств Союзного государства подвели итоги за 2015 год и наметили перспективы совместной работы в сфере образования, молодежной политики и научно-технического сотрудничества.

Министр образования и науки Российской Федерации Дмитрий Ливанов посетил с рабочим визитом в Баку (Азербайджанская Республика). В ходе визита состоялась встреча Президента республики Ильхама Алиева и главы российского ведомства.

Президент Азербайджана в ходе беседы подчеркнул успешное развитие двусторонних отношений между странами во всех направлениях, в том числе в области образования. Так, в этом году состоялся первый выпуск Бакинского филиала МГУ имени М.В. Ломоносова, начал работу филиал Первого московского государственного медицинского университета имени И.М. Сеченова. Ильхам Алиев также отметил необходимость других форм сотрудничества в области образования.

Россия и Азербайджан учредили Ассоциацию вузов двух стран
20 ноября 2015 г. Министр образования и науки Российской Федерации Дмитрий Ливанов посетил с рабочим визитом Азербайджанскую Республику. Основная цель поездки – учреждение Ассоциации российских и азербайджанских вузов.
