Я хочу сказать что диалектов существует огромное количество, и все они отличаются друг от друга в большей или меньшей степени, но очень сильно — от стандартных норм английского языка. Речь шотландцев, благодаря вышеупомянутым особенностям, звучит достаточно специфично и экспрессивно для иностранцев, а в некоторых районах Шотландии их речь непонятна даже носителям языка. Тем не менее, этот диалект является популярным языком общения для населения Великобритании.
