Твена в том, что он отравил своего дядюшку с целью завладеть его имуществом, и настаивал на немедленном вскрытии трупа. Автор другой статьи требовал, чтобы мистер Твен разъяснил своим избирателям, каким образом у его товарищей (fellow-workers) в Монтане то и дело пропадали (to lose) разные мелкие, но ценные вещи, которые они всегда находили либо в карманах мистера Твена, либо в его чемодане.
