in the first step, ammonium hydroxide was added into thezn (no3) 2 solutions dropwise to prepare aqueous precursor. Droppingammonium hydroxide in aqueous zn (no3) 2 and [+] of Zn20.02 m was generated in front of the white precipitates at the start butdissolved finally. after addition of all ammonium hydroxide, a colorlesstransparent aqueous precursor was formed (as shown infig. 2a), precursor a). in contrast, as shown in fig 2a right, precursor.b, parts of precipitates still appeared in the aqueous precursorwhen all ammonium hydroxide was dropped. the whiteprecipitates in such aqueous sol was filtrated and analyzed bysem and XRD (fig 2b). the sem image shown that the precipitatesfor irregular shapes of poorly defined. and the x - ray diffractionpatterns indicated that the precipitates were truly of ZnO andzn (oh) 2 with bad crystallinity because of the intensity and timewidth of the XRD pattern is low.
