А Форт-Росс, основанный первыми русскими поселенцами, стоит до сих пор. Восстановленный Форт-Росс - памятник-заповедник Калифорнии. Туристы могут увидеть дом И. А. Кускова, пушки, часовню Святой Троицы.
На территории форта ежегодно проходят фестивали русской музыки и народного искусства, театрализованные представления.
