I cam across one of my professor's

I cam across one of my professor's who is also my mentor this summer by the way. We are not at a talkable distance, but we can see each other clearly; I normally suck at these types of situations, so following my habit I did it again, I showed my teeth like a donkey and waved my hand at him like an idiot...I do not think anyone in their right sense of mind will do it ( I did it anyways..) I still do not know how to act in those kinds of situations....so I am asking you...just imagine yourself in my position and tell me how you would act.

and tell me what your Buddhist professor told about buddhism and about his experiences ( after listening to person's experiences is for more informative than books...) I am interested in it...pls
