The history of vaccination is associated with the name of an English doctor, Jenner, who noted that contamination of human disease "cowpox" (which is not a serious illness) keeps it from smallpox, which in most cases leads to death. Jenner first used his discovery to a boy of eight. He introduced him to the liquid bubbles vaccinia, in consequence of which the boy was immune to smallpox usual. Later, this method has been widely used for a long time.
Smallpox was a deadly disease 200 years ago. In addition, from a patient infected with it it was very simple, so Europe is almost drowning in such epidemics. Edward Jenner noticed that people picked up cowpox (a mild form of the terrible disease) after not become ill with smallpox. In 1796 he conducted the first experiments with the future vaccine. Scratched skin on a child's hand, he introduced him to the serum obtained from a patient with cowpox person. This was the first vaccine in the history of mankind
