22 июня 2005 года к 50-летию города

22 июня 2005 года к 50-летию города на площади Согласия открылся цветомузыкальный фонтан диаметром 18 метров и с высотой струи 9 метров. Еще 12 струй составляют внутреннее кольцо фонтана, обрамленное множеством струй внешнего кольца. По мнению специалистов, в воздухе одновременно находится около 200 литров воды. фонтан не имеет аналогов во всей Сибири. Почетное право открыть фонтан предоставлено губернатору А.Г. Тулееву, главе города С.Ф. Щербакову, ученице муниципальной женской гимназии Юлии Мещенковой и воспитаннику кадетского корпуса детского дома № 5 Валерию Кадымаеву. Мало кто знает что этот фонтан был подарком Новосибирской областной администрации городу Междуреченску к юбилею города . Фонтан проектировал и курировал изготовление директор МУ «Горфонтан«, кандидат технических наук и доцент НГТУ Леонид Зотов.
