21 июня сего года группой Британских компаний и не правительственных организаций при активной поддержке русскоязычной Общины Британии, была основана Британско-Белорусская Торговая Палата (British-Belarus Chamber of Commerce - BBCC), которая стала первой двухсторонней Палатой, учрежденной Беларусью с западноевропейской страной. Создание BBCC рассматривается как знаковый шаг в деле интеграции Республики Беларусь в Европейское рыночное сообщество, открывающий новое «окно возможностей” для британского бизнеса в данной стране. Значительная часть активности вновь образованной Палаты будет сфокусирована на грядущей волне инвестиционного интереса к Беларуси как наиболее высоко индустриальному и сохранившемуся «оазису» государственной собственности на пост-советском пространстве.
Основными задачами, продекларированными ВВСС, являются:
Поддержка, продвижение и расширение торговых, финансовых и промышленных связей между Объединенным Королевством и Республикой Беларусь;
Предоставление развитого пакета бизнес услуг членам ВВСС, а также национальным и международным Торгово-Промышленных Палатам;
Создание благоприятных условий для формирования и реализации инвестиционных инициатив, а также проектов по созданию новых двусторонних бизнесов и совместных предприятий.
