Руководящих должностных лиц избирают из состава делегации. Обычно избираются: председатель, заместители председателя, генеральный докладчик; председатель, заместитель председателя и докладчик каждого комитета; председатель редакционного комитета, а также другие должностные лица, которые могут оказаться необходимыми для осуществления конференцией своих функций.
