участвуют в фундаментальных и прикладных исследованиях по созданию и изучению свойств новых химических веществ и материалов.
Помимо учебной и научной деятельности студенты могут реализовать свои способности в различных творческих коллективах: Академический хор КемГУ, Театр-студия «Встреча», танцевальная студия «Вторая параллельная». Давно стали любимыми ежегодные фестивали "Первый снег", "Студенческая весна", традиционные «Посвящения в студенты ХФ» первокурсников, которые проводятся в заповеднике «Томская писаница», «Неделя химии».
