Статья посвящена изучению изменения участия женщин в политической жизни Республики Бурятия в 1990-2000 гг. Влияние изменений экономического и политического строя в стране в начале 90-х гг. Трансформации в гендерном составе политических структур в 2000 годы. Изучаются факторы увеличения числа женщин во власти,причины этого явления, их закономерность.
