эйнсли работал сортировщиком почты и был уволен. потому что начальник увидел его, как он брал письмо адресованное его жене. письмо было от дикки сомса, он был ее кузеном и раньше был влюблен в нее. Эйнсли был очень ревнив и поэтому сжег эти письма, так как боялся, что от него уйдет Адель. но дикки сомс приехал сам так как дядюшка умер. Дядя хотел оставить половину наследства Адель, но так как она не отвечала на письма ее половина была оставлена в больнице.
