Росимпорт" был заинтересован в покупке лифтов для нового цеха большого заводы в Сибири. Господин Смирнов, представитель "Росимпорта", поехал в Нью-Йорк, чтобы обсудить некоторые деловые вопросы с менеджером Swift&Co.,ведущим производителем лифтов.
Как только господин Смирнов прибыл в Нью-Йорк ,он связался с Swift&Co. Господин Нильсон ,менеджер компании, пригласил его в свой офис.
"Росимпорт" решил разместить заказ на 100 лифтов. Чтобы уложиться в срок, лифты требовались заводу к январю. Компания могла предложить 60 лифтов с немедленной отгрузкой. Остаток в 40 лифтов они пообещали доставить к марту. Компания могла предоставить свои транспортные средства и предложила товар на условиях СИФ. Условия устроили господина Смирнова, и через несколько дней контракт был подписан.
