Главный смысл текста в том, что девочка не хочет убирать свою комнату и не хочет помочь маме с уборкой. Ненси спорит с мамой и приводит разные аргументы в свою пользу. Но мне кажется, что это всего лишь оправдания, так как девочка не уважает своих родителей и просто ленивая. Она говорила маме, что их поколение более духовное, заботится о мыслях, но ведь нельзя так сказать о всем поколении, это очень индивидуально. так же девочка говорит, что в колледже её не заставляют убираться, но ведь это решает каждый сам. мы должны сами понимать что плохо, а что хорошо. я могу предположить, что родители избаловали Ненси, и не уделили достаточно внимания.
