Цель работы - изучение развития отношений между Китаем и странами Юго-Восточной Азии как в двустороннем формате, так и многостороннем - в рамках региональных организаций.
Для достижения поставленной цели выдвигаются следующие задачи:
1. Рассмотреть интересы Китая и позиции стран ЮВА.
2. Рассмотреть этапы развития экономического и политического сотрудничества.
3. Оценить роль Китая и АСЕАН в развитии международных отношений Азиатско-Тихоокеанского региона.
4. Выявить проблемы, препятствующие установлению прочных отношений Китая со странами ЮВА.
Хронологические рамки охватывают период от 90-х гг. XX в. до наших дней, так как именно с 90-х гг. XX в. происходит изменение внешней политики, и экономики КНР. В Китае начинается новый этап политики «реформ и открытости», страна выходит на внешние рынки, и именно с этого периода, начинается продвижение Китая в Юго-Восточную Азию.
