Modern technology in forensic investigations(William Brecon, England No. 52)Sherlock Holmes was armed with only a magnifying glass. The ideal police our century can admire the great Sleuth, but in possession of a modern police force are such tools that would leave behind Sherlock Holmes. Modern investigative techniques pose a criminal much more difficult task.Fingerprints and traces of Obuchi is a traditional Foundation inquiries-are also the subject of the latest research. Fingerprints reveal using radioactive chemicals, shoe traces are exploring using a laser and a statistical electricity. Quite a new direction was the discovery of the smallest particles of glass. Modern methods allow you to determine which factory produced glass and what day. The clothes often find traces of paint. If properly conduct its analysis, the importance of such evidence can be equated to a fingerprint. If the paint with the car, you can safely install the firm, model and year of manufacture of the vehicle. The information Division collects and continually updates a card file, which contains all the important materials that can help in solving the crime.Another new method-neutron-activation analysis. During this method, samples are subjected to bombing in the Atomic Reactor. Using this method you can, for example, arsenic poisoning reveal when analysing the hair, because the poison is concentrated on individual sections of hair.Introduces new methods of determining the use of firearms. This method allows to detect traces of metal particles on the body weight of just one billionth fraction of a gram. The forensic scientists started Scotland Yard finding evidence that blood stain just as unique as a fingerprint. Metropolitan Police investigators discovered that two of the major components of blood proteins and enzymes-have distinct characteristics that occur in various combinations. Scotland Yard laboratory could recently show that one particular blood spot can be owned by only eight people across the country. Thus, the task of the forensic expertise to find the perpetrator and protect the innocent.

Modern technology in forensic investigations
(William Brecon, "England» №52)
Sherlock Holmes was armed with a magnifying glass one. Perfect police of this century can admire the great detective, but at the disposal of modern police are such tools that would be left behind Sherlock Holmes. Modern methods of investigation put before a criminal is much more complicated problem.
Fingerprints and should be taught - the traditional basis of investigation - it is also the subject of recent research. Fingerprints are detected by radioactive chemical traces of shoe studied by laser and static electricity.
Most new direction was the discovery of tiny glass particles on clothing. Modern methods allow us to determine which plant was manufactured glass and on what day. On clothes often find traces of paint. If properly carry out its analysis, the importance of such evidence could be equated with fingerprints. If you paint a car, it is safe to install firm, model and year of the vehicle.
Information Department collects and continuously updates a card file, which contains all the important materials that can help in solving the crime.
Another new technique - neutron activation analysis. Under this method, samples are bombarded in a nuclear reactor. With this method you can, for example, reveal arsenic poisoning in the analysis of hair, because this poison is concentrated in certain areas of the hair.
There are new methods of establishing the fact of the use of firearms. This method can detect traces on the body of metal particles weighing only one-billionth of a gram.
The forensic laboratory Scotland Yard scientists looked for evidence that the blood spot as unique as a fingerprint. Researchers at the Metropolitan Police found that two of the major blood components - proteins and enzymes - have a distinct distinctive characteristics that occur in various combinations. Laboratory Scotland Yard could recently show that one particular spot of blood can belong to only eight people in the country.
Thus, the problem of judicial examination - to find the perpetrator and to protect the innocent.
