Dostoevsky, the author of this chapter, through the words of the Inquisitor of freedom, free the mind and science, raises important questions about social inequality of people, their innocence before the serious world where there is poverty and misery. People in the society of the time was going through hard times. Not all of them live in wealth and luxury. Many were destitute, experienced social inequality and the humiliation of the rich over the poor, and lived in poverty. They could not think freely because of them, and commanded all the time and tried to persuade persuaded to perform certain actions. On science, they did not even think, because they did not have the conditions to receive an education in this difficult situation. Because of this, it is all the time getting used to live under the control of an inquisitor or other people who inspired fear the Inquisition, watching society and understand their way of life. They inspire them peace of mind and hope for a future in which they believed. In turn, the Grand Inquisitor saw them happy and peaceful future without freedom, free thought and science, because they have for him is a source of misery and suffering. The doctrine of Christ, he is considered dangerous and unsuitable for the weak of society, because it was not able to survive in such a difficult world where there is evil and injustice.
