В России 7 февраля 2014 года прошли 22 Зимние Олимпийские игры в Сочи.
Всего в играх приняло 88 стран участников. За время олимпиады прошло 98 событий из 15 дисциплин в семи видах спорта. Офицальными талисманами игр были: Полярный медведь, снежный барс и заяц. Российские спортсмены завоевали первенство по количеству медалей-33. Яркая церемония закрытия состоялась 23 февраля.
