Электротехническое машиностроение области представлено ОАО «Могилевский завод «Электродвигатель» — крупнейшее предприятие в СНГ по производству асинхронных электродвигателей разной мощности. Продукцию завода знают более чем в 50 странах мира.
ОАО «Могилевлифтмаш» является специализированным предприятием по производству широкой гаммы лифтов. Могилевские лифты работают во всех государствах СНГ, в том числе на ракетно- космическом комплексе Байконур, а также в 12 странах Европы, Азии и Америки.
Стратегия технического обновления придает новый импульс поступательному развитию предприятий строительной индустрии. Внедрение новейших технологий позволило ЗАО «Комбинат силикатных изделий» освоить производство высококачественных стеновых блоков из ячеистого бетона.
Лесная и деревообрабатывающая промышленности представлены ведущими предприятия — ОАО «Могилевдрев» и СОАО «Могилевмебель» (производит мебель и столярно-строительные изделия).
Динамично развиваются предприятия легкой и пищевой промышленности. На долю легкой промышленности приходится более трети объемов города. Около половины товаров легкой промышленности города направляется на экспорт. Значительную роль в легкой промышленности играет предприятие ОАО «Моготекс» — крупнейший в Республике Беларусь производитель текстильной продукции.
