Всем известно, что экономическим ростом является увеличение объёма стоимости произведённых товаров и услуг в национальной экономике за определённый период времени.

Вы, скорее всего, согласитесь со мной в том, что экономический рост тесно связан с ростом общего уровня и качества жизни населения - ростом продолжительности жизни, качества медицинского обслуживания, доступностью качественного образования и т. д.

Так же существуют два типа экономического роста: экстенсивный и интенсивный. Экономический рост называется экстенсивным, если он не меняет среднюю производительность труда в обществе. Экономический рост называется интенсивным, если он является основой роста благосостояния населения и условием уменьшения дифференциации в доходах различных социальных слоев. В реальной жизни экстенсивный и интенсивный типы экономического роста в чистом виде не существуют. Имеет место их переплетение и взаимодействие.

В заключении можно сказать, что экономическим ростом является постоянный сдвиг кривой производственных возможностей, который осуществляется благодаря приросту ресурсов и повышению технологического уровня.
