Since the award of the EC we commun

Since the award of the EC we communicated immediately to you by email on September 30th, the situation regarding the Ukrainian NPP buildings condition monitoring contract is the following: the contract has been received from the EC at the very end of October and was signed yesterday by EA on behalf of the Consortium after agreement between the 3 members, and will be returned today to the EC.

The next step is the first consortium internal meeting, to be organized in two weeks. Our intention is to come back to you just after this meeting with a draft subcontract.

As indicated in our email mentioned above, we have included a provision for subcontracting local support to KIEP, that is translation, interpretation, logistics and technical assistance. This provision consider the rates indicated by KIEP in August and the final volume estimated of the Consortium for this support. Basically, there was not enough budget to include the total cost, you indicated below, and the 3 members had to make a great effort to finally present a tender just below the maximum budget. Nevertheless, the request initially made to you was excessive (for instance 5,000 pages translation) and the consortium members agreed on reduction on the needs and inclusion of KIEP participation with the corresponding rates. The reduction mainly impacts translation and interpretation and also a part on technical assistance.

As it was also key for the Vektor project, we share the understanding that these adjustments have been necessary for the award of both contracts. Now, we shall precisely assign the budget to the activities of a detailed work plan but the scope and the existing situation has to be clarified precisely with the Beneficiary / End User.

We will be pleased to come back soon with the subcontract including KIEP's scope and work plan details and to begin these new cooperations with your company.
