Площадь 1905 года — площадь в центре Екатеринбурга. Горожане в просторечии именуют её «площадь пятого года».В современном виде сложилась в 1930 году, после сноса стоявшего здесь Богоявленского собора, как общее пространство двух ранее существовавших площадей: Кафедральной и Главной торговой. На площадь выходят улицы Вайнера, Урицкого, 8 Марта, переулки Банковский и Володарского. С запада и востока на площадь выходит Проспект Ленина.Площадь возникла в первые годы строительства Екатеринбурга и скоро стала центральным местом торговли, в связи с чем её звали Торговой. В середине 19 века строятся купеческие дома, мужская гимназия, банки. В 1906 напротив собора на парадном постаменте установлен отлитый из уральского чугуна памятник Александру II, однако был снесен во время революции.
Площадь стала центром революционных событий начала XX века в городе.В ноябре 1919 в честь революционных событий, переименована в «Площадь 1905 года.
