Одно из самых интересных старинных сказаний в древнерусском эпосе — это легенда об Илье-Муромце и Соловье-разбойнике. Имя Ильи-Муромца самое популярное в русском народе; оно встречается весьма часто в песнях и преданиях, которые приписывают ему различные богатырские подвиги.
