Joseph Beuys, German artist, one of the main theorists of postmodernism. "How to explain pictures to a dead Hare". Project 1965 year. A three-hour performance Joseph Beuys was made at the opening of his first personal exhibition. The audience watched in Windows how Boyce whispers something bird Hare. The artist's face was covered in honey and gold leaf. Boyce moved the Gallery from picture to picture, touching each one his foot and, thus, the contact between culture and nature, animate and inanimate simultaneously. For Beuys Hare was the symbol of rebirth, a conversation with vnechelovecheskim world, honey is a metaphor of human thinking, and gold meant wisdom and enlightenment.
