Постепенно Профсоюз работников морского транспорта Украины укрепляет свои позиции не только на национальном, но и на международном уровне. Представители ПРМТУ принимают активное участие в подготовке материалов для ратификации Украиной некоторых конвенций Международной организации труда. С целью защиты прав моряков и докеров ПРМТУ инициировал ратификацию Украиной одиннадцати конвенций Международной организации труда (МОТ). Профсоюзные комитеты отрасли стали активными участниками обсуждений различных законопроектов и других нормативных актов, касающихся предприятий морского транспорта. ПРМТУ разрабатывает предложения и заявления для органов государственной власти и управления по защите трудовых интересов членов профсоюза, работающих в Черноморском, Азовском и Дунайском бассейнах.

Gradually, the maritime transport workers ' Union of Ukraine strengthens its position not only nationally, but also internationally. PRMTU representatives actively participate in the preparation of material for Ukraine's ratification of several conventions of the International Labour Organization. To protect the rights of seamen and dockers PRMTU initiated the ratification by Ukraine of the eleven conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Trade-Union committees in the industry have become active participants in discussions of various bills and other legislation on enterprises of marine transport. PRMTU develops proposals and statements to the State authorities and the Office for the protection of labour interests of Union members working in the Black Sea, the Azov and Danube basins.
