Развитие орудий труда, техническая и технологическая революции — яркое свидетельство экономического прогресса, но они поставили мир на грань экологической катастрофы, истощили природные ресурсы , привели к разрушению природы, к подрыву естественных основ существования общества .
Современные технологии позволяют человеку максимально облегчить свое существование. Но в то же время каждое новое изобретение может привести к тому, что человек постепенно вернется к животному состоянию: все большее значение приобретает удовлетворение физиологических потребностей, а духовный мир скудеет, так как у человека остается все меньше мотивов совершенствоваться. Зачем, допустим, посещать музеи, если можно со всеми удобствами прожить и без многих культурных ценностей?
Кроме того, человек по природе своей нуждается в обществе себе подобных. В наше время реальное общение часто заменяет интернет и общение в режиме онлайн. Так из-за прогресса технологии человек теряет навык общения "вживую".
Развитие любого общества зависит от степени заинтересованности в этом людей. Так что человеку важно не останавливаться на достигнутом, какой бы удобной ни стала его жизнь благодаря внедрению все более совершенных технологий.
