Maggie Williams: I love that we have so many “English things”
that our country is recognized by, such as the bulldog, drinking
tea, London, Queens and Kings and red postboxes. I love it when
we celebrate things like the Queen's Jubilee together. But I hate the
weather. It often rains, never snows and it's never really sunny.
The best thing about Britain is its history! I think everyone should
be glad to be a part of it. I also love how we can be one big country and four separate countries too! But I hate it when the Scots
are thought to just play bagpipes* and wear kilts.* They are some of the nicest people in the world! I also admire the famous people
like Churchill,* Shakespeare,* Elisabeth I* and Jane Austen.* I’m
very proud to be British, the UK is great!
