Maundy money. Maundy (a) thursday is the day before good friday and easter. on the Maundy. the queen gives money to a group of old people. this tradition is over 1000 years old. at one time the king or queen washed the feet of the poor, the old people on Maundy thursday. that stopped in 1754.
