As a leading researches and author on world leaders, with a wealth of experience in portraying international leaders in a manner that is suitable for their domestic and international audiences, I am well-placed to write an authoritative biography of President Atambaev. In a similar style to my previous books, this would not be a dry work, but one that would be full of colour and verve and therefore have inherent value. Drawing upon archives all over the world, and other key sources, we will trace this to the present day, using keynote interviews with up to 100 people, all of whom have witness to his remarkable life.
A world class book, it would contain several hundred photographs and be a story told over some 100.000 words. We would print 2000 copies of a hardback version, and 2000 an English paperback version, the latter to be circulate through retail space around the world.
To back up the launch, we will manage a global ebook programme covering 60+stores covering 170 countries, including the likes of Amazon Kindle, Apple, Ibooks and Barnes and Noble Nook.
The book can either be commissioned, or we can seek sponsors. The entire cost of the project would be 235 000 usd dollars, plus travel expenses. This figure includes: authoring, international research programme, acquisition of archive materials, design, studio work, editors and sub-editors, original photography, hardback edition, global ebook programme.
My reason for a lack of accuracy on travel costs is that not knowing the full scope of the story, for examples, we could be instructed to interview kofi annan or George bush for the book. It is incalculable at this point, but I stress that everything would be agreed with your offices in advance and invoiced at a later stage with full receipts.
As with my previous titles we, as publishers, will be obliged that all copy and layouts will be submitted to the relevant authorities for approval prior to publication. Nothing will be published without prior agreement and all stages we will work closely with the proper authorities, through the provision of regular drafts, layouts and progress reports.
In order to proceed I would I would need a meeting with the relevant authority in the Bishkek, we would seek a strong permission letter (as per the samples provided) and the active participation of the same entity in the working with us and advising both the editorial and sponsorship process. A strong, collaborative working relationship certainly underpins the whole project.
