Говоря о странных испанских традициях в первую очередь, конечно, следует сказать о корриде, и даже не столько о ней, сколько о предшествующем ей Фестивале бега от быков в городе Памплона. Сиеста (дневной отдых) является одним из самых широкоизвестных по всему миру обычаев Испании. Дневной сон в течении 20 и 30 минут сразу после еды очень рекомендуется. Хотя из-за рабочего графика большинство испанцев не могут практиковать этот обычай, однако по праздникам и в выходные, а особенно в жаркую погоду, многие с радостью посвящают полчаса сиесте. Происхождение этой полезной традиции пошло со времен римлян, которые считали, что телу необходим перерыв на "шестой час". Таким образом, если начинать совй день в 9 часов утра, в три часа дня организм начинает испытывать потребность в перерыве, чтобы потом продолжить рабочий день.
