First of all, that message is near-perfect. Secondly, supermarkets are great, but I've a lot of sympathy for all the small shops that have gone out of business because of them. You see, I was raised in a house with a small shop that has since gone (not just because of lack of business but other reasons too that I won't go into right now). Sometimes, one longs for the personal touch of the family-owned small shop. But that's progress I suppose. We do our main shopping on Friday, and I agree, it can be a bit of a drag. I'm sure always glad when it's over, even though I always have some personal shopping to do each day. But let me loose in a bookstore and I can while away a few hours there without noticing time passing!
