В конце лета, можно наблюдать тысячи счастливых первоклашек, идущих первый раз в школу, а в руках они держат, так называемые, школьные кульки, или конфетные конусы (Schultüten), которые наполнены всевозможными игрушками, сладостями и прочими подарками. Данная традиция появилась примерно в начале 19 века, легенда гласит, что один из учителей ввел обычай оставлять для своих учеников конфеты на дереве, но когда дерево срубили, то конфеты, а позже уже конусы, стали вручать первоклассникам их родители. Одно из важных условий данной традиции это то, что дети должны открыть свои подарочные свертки уже по приходу домой после школы.
