Председатель правительства Хакасии Алексей Лебедь одержал победу уже в первом туре, получив свыше 59% голосов, опередив всех пятерых соперников. Второй результат у коммуниста, председателя регионального отделения КПРФ Владимира Керженцева, который набрал всего 12,1% голосов избирателей. Подведены предварительные итоги выборов в Верховный совет республики. По партийным спискам большинство голосов получила «Единая Россия». За нее отдали голоса 22,98% избирателей. Второй результат у КПРФ – 18,4%. Кроме этих избирательных блоков 5-процентный барьер удалось преодолеть блоку Алексея Лебедя «Хакасия», Партии пенсионеров, ЛДПР и «Родине». Аграрной партии России и «Союзу правых сил» не удалось пройти в Верховный совет по партийным спискам.
