"Rain, Steam and Speed" (English. Rain, Steam and Speed - The Great Western Railway) - painting by British artist William Turner, was first presented at the exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1844. The painting artist depicted runaway train, the only clearly recognizable part of which is the tube of a steam locomotive. Everything else is sinking, and dissolved in a golden haze. In the picture you can see the bridge piers and boat with two passengers. The painting was painted after a trip to Turner on the Great Western Railway, linking the south-west of England, Western Lands and South Wales with London. It is believed that a painting of a railway bridge over the River Thames between Maidenhead Taplow towns (Taplow) and Maidenhead (Maidenhead). The viewer is a view east towards London.
