Один из наиболее известных романов Оскара Уайльда это "Портрет Дориана Грея". Это история о прекрасном молодом человеке Дориане Грее. Однажды известный художник Бэзил Холлуорд рисует портрет этого юноши. Дориан видит портрет и говорит, что хотел бы навсегда остаться таким молодым и прекрасным. Его желание сбывается. С каждым годом портрет становится все уродливее, а Дориан не меняется. Он делает ужасные поступки, проводит все своё время в пабах и общается с плохими людьми. Он прячет портрет в тёмной комнате на протяжении всей своей жизни. Однажды он решает уничтожить портрет и тем самым убивает себя.
