Президентом может быть избран гражданин Республики Беларусь по рождению, не моложе 35 лет, обладающий избирательным правом и постоянно проживающий в Республике Беларусь не менее десяти лет. Президент избирается на 5 лет. Должность занимает Александр Григорьевич Лукашенко с 11 октября 2015 года
