У неполовозрелых крыс внутрижелудочное введение препарата Мексидол® таблетки, покрытые оболочкой, в течение 25-ти дней в дозах 50 и 600 мг/кг не вызывало внешних проявлений нарушений здоровья за весь период исследования. У крыс, получавших препарат в максимальной дозе 1200 мг/кг, незначительные отклонения в состоянии здоровья наблюдались на 19-й день введения и характеризовались снижением мышечного тонуса. В дальнейшем выявленные признаки полностью компенсировались. Статистически значимых различий в приросте массы тела между группами животных, получавшими препарат Мексидол®, в разных дозах выявлено не было. Отсутствовали статистически значимые различия между группами животных с введением препарата и контролем. Исследование токсичности препарата Мексидол® в дозах 50, 600 и 1200 мг/кг при его 25-дневном внутрижелудочном введении с последующим 14-дневным периодом отмены на неполовозрелых крысах токсических эффектов на систему крови не выявило.
