Между знатными веронскими семействами Монтекки и Капулетти царит непримиримая вражда, унесшая множество жизней. Из-за нее страдают не только мужья и жены, но и их дети: Ромео и Джульетта, между которыми пылают трепетные чувства.

Герои трагедии молоды, но любовь делает их взрослыми не по годам. Чувства Ромео и Джульетты оказываются выше вражды семей, они готовы на все, чтобы сохранить нежность их отношений.
