Одна из достопримечательностей Петербурга — фонтаны. Наиболее знаменитый из них — фонтанный комплекс Петергофа. В 2005 году открылся новый водный ансамбль на площади Ленина. Летом 2006 года был открыт фонтан непосредственно в акватории Невы, недалеко от стрелки Васильевского острова. Новые фонтаны появились на Московской площади, в Южно-Приморском парке и в других местах города.
