Для испытания отбирают образцы из 10 заполненных туб. Удаляют нанесенную маркировку с этикетки. Тщательно очищают и высушивают наружную поверхность тубы с помощью бумажной салфетки, и индивидуально взвешивают каждую тубу в отдельности. Количественно извлекают содержимое каждой тубы. Для этого вскрывают тубу, промывают внутреннюю поверхность, используя сначала воду, затем изопропиловый спирт. В ходе испытания сохраняют все части тубы, включая колпачки и обжимные приспособления. Высушивают и повторно взвешивают тубу в комплекте с отделенными частями. Разность между двумя зарегистрированными весовыми параметрами соответствует весу содержимого тубы. Повторяют эту процедуру для остальных 9 туб. Рассчитывают среднее значение содержимого всех 10 туб.
