Активизировались инвестиционные процессы. В последние годы в промышленность города Ташкента было привлечено инвестиций в размере 1,3 миллиарда долларов.

Благодаря созданным условиям в городе доля частного бизнеса в валовом региональном продукте достигла 52 процентов. 68 процентов трудоспособного населения занято в данной сфере, что свидетельствует об ускоренном развитии в столице малого бизнеса и частного предпринимательства.

Подверглись коренной реконструкции ташкентские рынки – «Чорсу», «Алайский», «Паркентский», «Чиланзарский», «Мирабадский», строятся новые. В столице в настоящее время имеется свыше 100 современных, благоустроенных вещевых, дехканских рынков, а также специализирующихся на торговле строительными материалами. Характерно, что основная часть реализуемой на рынках продукции производится отечественными предпринимателями.

В процессе подготовки к юбилею начата широкомасштабная работа по дальнейшему улучшению обеспечения жителей города питьевой водой, электроэнергией, строительству нового и реконструкции имеющегося жилья, асфальтированию дорог в махаллях и массивах, совершенствованию транспортных и коммуникационных сетей и многим другим направлениям.

Другими словами, ускоренно осуществляются мероприятия по превращению Ташкента в современный мегаполис не только нашего региона, но и всего континента и мира.
