Современные сказочники, эти творцы и носители русской сказки, чрезвычайно разнообразны по своему репертуару, по характеру творчества,мировоззрению и по манере рассказывания.Одни из них идеализируют патриархальную старину, другие резко критикуют старые устои. Одни любят эпические повествования о богатырских подвигах или волшебные сказки о борьбе чудесного героя с темными силами сказочного царства, другие предпочитают ловкого солдата и сатирические рассказы о жадном барине или сластолюбивом попе, которых беспощадно высмеивают. Одни сказочники спокойно и бесстрастно ведут свое мерное повествование,другие рассказывают сказку "на разные голоса", разыгрывают ее. Одни твердо держатся традиции сказочного канона и стремятся передать сказку точно так, как они слышали ее; другие дают свободу своему дару импровизации, и каждый раз как бы заново творят сказку, создавая все новые и новые ее варианты.
