В управленческом учёте торговой организации процессно-ориентированный подход позволяет выявить условия и специфические особенности совокупности процессов продвижения товаров от производителей до конечных потребителей, оценить результативность данных БП с помощью ключевых показателей эффективности. Так в деятельности торгового предприятия выделены три основных, один вспомогательный и несколько управленческих БП, для каждого из которых разрабатывается бюджет и составляется отчёт об исполнении бюджета. Для обеспечения соответствующего уровня релевантности показателей БП в аналитическом и синтетическом учёте требуется соответствующая группировка и обобщение информации о результатах и расходах на осуществление каждого торгового БП.
